On 24 to 29 June 2013, children were in town for the holiday programme. On Tuesday we took our messages of best wishes to the hospital where Madiba is staying and the children wanted to dance a song for him.
On the other days we visited different places in town like the Union Buildings, Sammy Marks Square, Paul Kruger Square, Tourism Centre, Burgers Park and Bosman Station. We were also asking donations, fundraising to go to Germany next year. Amazingly we raised more than R 1,500. This money will be put on children’s account. Our aim is to raise at least R 5,000 monthly.
Unfortunately the children were not allowed to finish their performance for Madiba in front of the hospital. The police stopped them. However, if you want to have a look at it, there is a brief sequence on youtube.
We hope Madiba will get well soon, again. With or without the children dancing for him...
