On the third day of the "We Can't Eat Air - Campaign" the remaining families received their long-awaited food parcels. The first phase of the campaign has now come to an end. We thank everyone who helped to make it a great success.
More than 370 children, parents and grand-parents are now provided with food for the next month or longer. During the last few days Kgomotso Children Centre has given out food parcels to 65 needy families in Soshanguve and Winterveldt; families with children who usually learn, play, and eat at KCC but now have to stay at home. The food parcels include maize meal, rice, samp, cooking oil, lentils, backed beans, tin fish, salt, tea bags, toilet paper, soap and other items that were urgently needed.
The families are very grateful for the support. In the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide lockdown the campaign has brought hope to the community. In times of social distancing we stand together!
