Day 2 of We Can't Eat Air Campaign

The second day in a row KCC staff and supporters went out to reach more families in the community providing them with food parcels. Families were crying because they had not had food for days, only surviving with drinking water.

Today KCC managed to give 27 families their food parcels. Some of them where overwhelmed with emotions. One grandmother told Kgomotso that she and her grand-children had not had any food in the house for three days, only surviving with drinking water. She asked Kgomotso to come inside the house and showed her the empty shelves.

Currently, 24 people are helping out in the campaign. They are organised in small groups packing, transporting and giving out the food parcels. Among them there are staff, social workers, board members, KCC volunteers and community members. A total of 51 families who were most crucial have now been provided with a food parcel. Tomorrow and Sunday the team will rest and continue to give out to the remaining families on Monday.
