US ambassador visits KCC

Shortly after KCC had opened its doors for another year the US ambassador came for a visit to get an impression of the work that is being done at the children's centre.

The visit of the US embassy had been scheduled for last year December, already, but as the ambassador of the United States herself wanted to join the delegation dates had been changed to January.

Although it was a rainy day more than 180 kids came to welcome the guests. The ambassador was overwhelmed by the talent of the kids who were presenting and performing gumboots dance, traditional tsonga dance and a special dance by KCC's youngest.

All of the kids and guests had a lot of fun and enjoyed the short time they had together. Handing over a lot of toys as a donation to the centre the ambassador said she will stay in touch with KCC and consider further support.

Currently, KCC is on the look out for a second stand. This year more than 70 new kids have been registered to KCC by their parents. KCC therefore is very thankful for any support that helps to improve the centre.
